In recent years, with the proposal of the rural revitalization strategy in China, the pace of building a beautiful countryside has gradually accelerated. The treatment of livestock and poultry manure is not only an urgent issue to be solved in the new countryside, but also a key link in extending the industrial chain for the aquaculture industry, improving the added value of aquaculture, and increasing the benefits of aquaculture. With the increasing number of livestock and poultry breeding industries in China, the fermentation process and equipment for livestock and poultry manure have made rapid progress, but there are also problems such as mismatch between the scale of equipment and farms, and mismatched fermentation processes, leading to a series of problems such as insufficient fermentation and long fermentation cycle. Through analyzing the characteristics of several current fermentation methods, It provides reference significance for scientific selection of organic fertilizer fermentation equipment and processes for farms with different aquaculture scales and production conditions.
There are three common fermentation methods, namely, tank fermentation, stack fermentation, and high-temperature closed aerobic fermentation tank.
Tank type fermentation requires the construction of aboveground or underground fermentation tanks, with guide rails laid on the partition walls on both sides of the fermentation tank. The tank type planer walks on the guide rails. At the same time, the system is equipped with a track changing mechanism to achieve conversion between different fermentation tanks. Tank fermentation uses the high-speed rotating knife roller of the tipping machine to turn, break, and throw the material back to achieve tipping. According to this principle, the types of tank tipping machines are mainly divided into roller type, chain plate type, spiral type, and tooth extraction type. Tank fermentation is suitable for use in large-scale aquaculture farms, but there are problems such as long time consuming and low efficiency.
There is no need to build a fermentation tank for stack type fermentation. Instead, it is necessary to stack feces on the cement floor into stacks with a certain height and width. The stack type tilter rides on the stack and rotates through a roller or auger to send natural wind from both sides of the stack to provide oxygen, achieving compost fermentation. The advantages of stack fermentation are simple structure, low cost, low maintenance cost, flexible operation, and large processing capacity. However, its disadvantages are also obvious, such as large floor space, average digging capacity, and high equipment maintenance costs.
High temperature closed fermentation adopts the principle of aerobic fermentation by aerobic microorganisms, which enables microorganisms to utilize organic matter and residual protein in livestock and poultry feces and carcasses to rapidly reproduce under a certain temperature, humidity, and sufficient oxygen environment, thereby achieving harmless treatment of livestock and poultry wastes. High temperature closed fermentation has no taste, short fermentation cycle, simple operation, long service life, and can be converted into organic fertilizer within an average of 7 days.
With the development of plow equipment and process technology, livestock manure fermentation technology is increasingly moving towards intelligent development. Currently, high-temperature closed fermentation is a relatively ideal fermentation state. Compared to traditional compost fermentation, it occupies a small area and has a high degree of automation. One person can control the entire fermentation process; Realize gas emission up to standard through the deodorization system, without generating secondary pollution; The inner walls of the tank body are all made of 304 anti-corrosion stainless steel, with a long service life; Due to the small impact of weather and environment, rapid fermentation can also be achieved in cold regions,
